Bronan the Brobarian is a playable character in the run 'n gun game Broforce. He was released with a beta update.

Bronan the Brobarian is based on Conan the Barbarian portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Conan film series. Schwarzenegger's portrayal of the character is based upon the character Conan the Cimmerian, who was created by Robert E. Howard during the 1920's and appeared in various pulp fiction magazines.

Gameplay

Attacks

Fire command: Atlantean Sword

• Deflects projectiles when timed correctly.
• Charge the swing by holding the fire key, increasing its damage and adding small shockwaves which knocks smaller enemies into the air, causing Confusion.
• Full charge causes larger shockwaves that can damage terrain, killing enemies as well as stunning those who are still alive.
• The full charge is indicated by a sound and a ring of light. Explodes corpses when fully charged.
• Small shockwaves do not damage most of the terrain but they can destroy weak objects such as crates.
• Can decapitate.
• Charging time: 4 seconds
• Damage: Around 5 damage if uncharged, and around 30 damage when fully charged.
• Range: The swing is a melee attack, which only attacks enemies a block in front of him. The shockwave travels about 9 blocks maximum across the ground.
• Rate of Fire: About 3 uncharged swings per second. At full charge, 4 large shockwaves and 9 small ones.

Special command: Lunging Slam

• Bronan leaps into the air while roaring as well as moving forward for a distance, he slams his sword into the ground when he lands, creating a giant shockwave that travels along the ground, dealing damage to enemies it hits and causing Confusion.
• Explode corpses.
• Bronan is invincible while jumping.
  • Ammunition: 5.
  • Spring: 1-2 blocks if still or walking. 10 blocks horizontally if sprinting.
  • Damage: Around 30 .
  • Range: Range of shockwave is 10 blocks maximum.

Melee Command

• On ground: Uppercut - Knocks upward
• Damage: 4.
• While airborne: Down Thrust - Positing his sword underneath him, Bronan stabs enemies from above. Destroys 3X1 chunk of terrain below.
• Damage: 10.
• Range: 1 block.
• Rate of Fire: About 4 melee attacks per second.

Trivia

• A variation of his special is used for Bro Caesar.
• Conan is also portrayed by Jason Momoa in another movie, but because of the similarities with other bros' faces this one seems to be based on Schwarzenegger's version.
• Before it was fixed, if you sprint and then melee, you will start flying by pressing special during the knife animation. You can hold special to continue flying.
• When fully charged, his sword can momentarily stun the Terrorbot in addition to dealing reasonable damage to it.
