Brommando is a playable character in the run and gun platform game Broforce. He was added as a bro at early development stages of Broforce Brototype, between May and September, 2012.

Brommando is based on the fictional character John Matrix from the1985 film Commando, in which he was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Matrix is a retired Delta Force commando who holds the rank of colonel. In the film, Matrix fights to rescue his daughter from villains who seek to take over the fictional Latin American state of Val Verde.
